Drugs are not the answer

Well, things were going fairly well until... I discovered an ear infection and had to be put on antibiotics. I feel sick all the time!! The only food that really appeals is deep fried (French fries, chips, etc.). This is no way to tone up. I have found that eating some yogurt with my pill helps, but the minute my stomach is empty I am ready to be sick. So I am eating a lot to combat this problem. Goldfish crackers seem to work the best, since they come in small sizes.

This has also made it really, really tough to work out. I just feel like throwing up, not working out! I'm playing with the timing of th antibiotic, though, and so I've been getting some work-outs in.

It was helpful to try on a few dresses these past few days and realize this will all be WELL worth the while!!!

Additionally, when I went to the doctor for the infection, I had lost 4 pounds since my last visit, about a month and a half ago. So I'm no the right track, just have to keep trying.

Next step

I was going to publish a post on Tuesday, explaining how I have been too busy to hit the work out. So, instead of that, I skipped the post and worked out, being 15 minutes late to my Bible study. Overall, I'm glad I did it. Yesterday I had a successful walk to let my muscles break. Today it is work out again!

I did SO good at lunch yesterday: I skipped dessert and only had good snacks ALL DAY!!!! Yoplait Whips have been a life saver.

Good luck!

Health Meter Update

YES: I worked out. Go me.

NO: I hate half a bag of cherry sours with lunch.

GOAL: Keep up daily work outs and limit sweets during the day.

An explanation

So here is the thing. I am no health freak. In fact, I cannot even tell you how many times THIS WEEK I considered Diet Coke part of a complete breakfast.

I received a very interesting email from an old requesting we become "virtual" work-out buddies. I know lots of people that are trying to shape up and health up for a variety of reasons (health results, weddings, babies, etc.). This is my way of being accountable, encouraging you, and and hopefully slimming down to a stronger Chrissy by the time my brother ties the knot. With winter coming, I know it'll get really, really tough. Maybe this will help. Maybe I will ditch it after a week. But here goes nothing.
